Basotho Nation Bicentenary Celebrations
This year the government of the Kingdom of Lesotho is marking 200 years since Lesotho was founded by King Moshoeshoe I in 1824. For 12 months from the 3rd May 2024, the nation will celebrate our past and look forward to our future with a year-long festivities, creativity and imagination to set the tone for our third century.
