The Basotho Nation celebrates 200 years in existence as a nation together in 2024 since its founding by the great King Moshoeshoe I in 1824.

This is a significant moment and time for the nation to celebrate with a clear purpose to revive its dignity and image in the region and the world around, as well as to transform into a new and better Lesotho that is united, progressive, and prosperous, as we begin our third century as a nation.
